What You'll Do

With your zeal for both, you’ll use your knowledge of the nonprofit, government and institutional worlds to hunt for and keep the pipeline flowing with mission-driven organizations in need of web design + development work. If people like you, trust you, and want to work with you — we probably will too. If you’re strictly focused on metrics, commission, or the ABCs of sales, we probably won’t make a good fit. You’ll report to the CEO, but you’ll also need to share the sandbox with members of the sales, tech and design teams — they’ve got the SME to make your RFPs A-OK. We’re also open to other acronyms.


  • Act as a first point of contact for new business
  • Help set and meet sales targets
  • Understand and advance Kalamuna's market position
  • Monitor competitor offerings and marketing activities.
  • Ensure marketing efforts deliver against sales and brand objectives
  • Keeping the CRM up-to-date with deals, contacts and interactions
  • Maintaining the sales pipeline, and reporting its overall health to leadership
  • Represent the company in the community and at conferences
  • Lead pitches, proposals, and ultimately take responsibility for the success of the sales funnel
  • Mentor and supervise sales agents


  • Sales management experience in an agency context
  • You are an exceptional communicator who uses empathy, nuance and polish to connect with different personalities
  • Can maintain successful client relationships and deliver strategic creative and technical ideas for a digital agency
  • Ability to translate brand needs into marketing strategies and business objectives
  • Can think strategically and act quickly, no matter how full your plate
  • You have a holistic understanding of digital design, architecture, development, and support
  • Understand the value of social media and content marketing
  • Experience with agency contracting vehicles like SOWs and MSAs
