Rootid is an award-winning, San Francisco Bay Area-based communications and web development firm that works specifically with nonprofit organizations and social impact businesses. Our team has over 60 years of combined experience working in nonprofit brand strategy, online marketing and web/application development. Since our three co-founders all moved from working inside nonprofits and education institutions to establishing Rootid, we know how to specifically address nonprofit communications needs.

What's in a Name?

The origin of our name stems from our founding values to be rooted in community—we believe that diversity and equity make our communities better, and ultimately stronger.

We ground our work in our clients’ missions. Rootid’s focus is on strengthening your marketing and communication strategies to better attain your short and long-term goals.

Rootid performs our business in ways that contribute to both our local and global communities. Through partnerships with local organizations, we provide mentorships, internships and employment opportunities to underserved youth and community members–helping to shape the next generation of changemakers, social entrepreneurs and technologists either as team members within Rootid, or in other personal and professional pathways. 

As a communications agency, we strive to build long-term relationships with our clients that activate their support base and grow their impact.
